What do you do when you run out of creative energy?

I go for a run.

What is your favorite kind of pen/pencil?

I feel like I should have an opinion about pencils because I’m a designer, but I don’t think most pencil branding is particularly memorable.

Do you listen to music while you work? What kind?

I love music, but when I am working, it’s too distracting for me. I am a fan of white noise when I am trying to get things done. Airplanes are the best for this.

Boba - yes or no?

No thank you. English breakfast tea with cream and honey, please.

Where do you go for inspiration?

I get really inspired at a good magazine rack. In San Francisco, I recommend the Heath Newsstand.

What do you do when you run out of creative energy?

Any activity in the wilds of the ocean is a great recharge for me. I am lucky to live in California with close proximity to the sea.

If you could intern in another department or position at Zendesk, what would it be?

I would like to intern in a position that doesn’t exist yet, but it should: The Taco Operations Department.

What’s the view from your desk?

My desk looks out over a vast and untamed horizon, also known as the video department.

What is one thing that all Zendesk designers have in common?

Good vibes. The people here are simply the best.
