Do you listen to music while you work? What kind?

Pretty much all the time. I like a lot of different types of music, but I tend to write to instrumental lo-fi, jazz, or movie soundtracks. I’ve also been known to blast 90s hip hop on Friday afternoons over our creative boombox.

Where do you go for inspiration?

Planes and trains. I travel a lot and it’s the one thing that always sparks new ideas. I’m always down for a last minute weekend trip to Tahoe…or Taiwan.

What word or phrase gets on your nerves at work?

“Essentially”. People at work say it ALL THE TIME for NO REASON. In presentations, especially. Essentially, I’m talking to you right now. Essentially, what I’m saying is that I can’t just say what I want to say without saying a filler word. Essentially, the word “essentially” has replaced “um” in my vocabulary. Drives. Me. Nuts.
